don’t dim your light

Sometimes, it is frustrating to be a light, especially in a world of darkness. You see people getting by with their cruelness and schemes, and still prospering or so it seems. its easy to respond the way people do or take the easy route instead of waiting for God. However, the more I walk this path out with the Lord, I see that I don’t have to dim my light or love because of circumstances or people. I don’t have to step ahead of God to make things the way I feel they should be. I have faith in God, the orchestrator of my life, the one whom I trust.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
  when they carry out their wicked schemes ” – Psalm 37:7

In the psalm, it reminds us not to take the detour off His path because things are not lined up the way we deem them to be or the way others have it. It encourages us to keep our faith in Him, our vindicator. When people try to take advantage of us. This walk is not easy, but we must continue in endurance and not let the world turn us away from Him!.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
