even Jesus withdrew,
There will be moments in your life where you have to take space, not to isolate but to be filled and restored with more of Jesus. I’m learning that I don’t have to push myself past my limit if my glass is barely full. That would mean I have to work in my own strength instead of the Spirit of God. Showing weakness is not a limit; it is a strength.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
We don’t have to push past our limits, because Christ power rests upon us and within us. When you reach those limits of weakness and emptiness, that is a sign to return to Him, who can fill you up when you’re empty. There were moments when Jesus withdrew because the crowds became too much, the obedience was hard, and the role He took on wasn’t always easy.
“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
Find where your secret place is. Don’t wait until you’re all the way on E to fill up again. Life will be overwhelming and sometimes chaotic, but we don’t have to do life alone because He is with us always, seek Him
” He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” –Psalm 91:1
